Notes

My piano compositions date mostly from three creative periods:

1. my late high school years in Germany
2. my undergraduate years at UC Berkeley where I had access to my landlord’s grand piano;
3. from the late 1980’s on, in Cupertino, CA

Many of these piano pieces are transcriptions of my organ originals.

Most of the recordings I made myself. But during the summer and fall of 2008, Dr. Irina Prilipko-Morgan, president of the International Russian Music Piano Competition in San Jose, CA, coached students of hers to record some of the pieces. Irina herself also recorded some, and below is the list of her and her students’ recordings. The superscript number before their names correspond to the numbers placed after specific recorded pieces that each pianist did.
